Mounting Release Agent
Professional auxiliary agent specially formulated for metallographic sample mounting (cold mounting & hot mounting), used to form a thin isolation film between mounting molds and mounting compound, enabling easy and intact demolding of mounted samples, preventing sample sticking, mold damage and edge cracking. Non-toxic, low odor, fast film-forming, no impact on mounting quality.
Metallographic Mold Release Agent is a dedicated auxiliary consumable designed for metallographic sample mounting procedures, solving common problems such as mounted samples sticking to molds, difficult demolding, sample edge chipping, cracking and mold abrasion during both cold mounting and hot mounting processes. It adopts a mild, non-corrosive formula with fast film-forming properties, which can quickly form a uniform, thin and high-temperature resistant isolation protective film on the inner surface of mounting molds after application.
This isolation layer effectively blocks direct contact between mounting resin (including epoxy resin, acrylic resin and hot mounting powder) and the mold inner wall, ensuring that the cured mounted sample can be easily pushed out or taken out without damage, keeping the sample edge intact and smooth, and protecting the precision mounting mold from scratches, bonding damage and prolonged wear. The product has no adverse effects on the curing speed, hardness and surface flatness of mounting compounds, and will not contaminate metal samples or affect subsequent grinding, polishing and microstructure observation. It is suitable for all standard metallographic cold mounting molds and hot mounting presses, widely used in metallographic laboratories, material testing centers and educational research institutions for daily sample mounting work.
2. Core Advantages
-
Excellent Demolding Effect: Forms a dense and smooth isolation film quickly, completely eliminating the bonding between mounting compound and mold inner wall, realizing effortless and intact demolding, avoiding sample edge cracking, chipping and deformation caused by forced demolding.
-
Fast & Uniform Film-Forming: Quick-drying formula, no need for long waiting time after application, forms a uniform thin film in a short time, no flowing, no accumulation, no sticky residue, ensuring consistent demolding effect for each mounting.
-
Wide Mounting Compatibility: Perfectly suitable for both cold mounting (epoxy resin, acrylic resin systems) and hot mounting (thermosetting mounting powder) processes, and compatible with all types of metal and plastic metallographic mounting molds.
-
Mild & Non-Corrosive: Neutral, non-toxic formula with low odor, no corrosion to metal molds, sample surfaces and mounting machine components, safe for long-term daily use, no harm to operators and laboratory equipment.
-
High Temperature Resistance: The formed isolation film has excellent heat resistance, stable performance under the high temperature of hot mounting presses, no decomposition, no failure, ensuring reliable demolding effect even in high-temperature mounting environments.
-
No Impact on Sample Quality: Does not contain impurities that contaminate samples, will not affect the curing effect, hardness and flatness of mounting compounds, and leaves no residue on sample surfaces that interferes with subsequent grinding and polishing.
-
Easy to Apply & Economical: Simple operation, can be applied by brushing or spraying evenly, small dosage per use, long service life of a single bottle, effectively prolonging the service life of precision mounting molds and reducing mold replacement costs.
