Metallographic Adapter Plates
Professional auxiliary fixture for metallographic polishing machines, used to convert and adapt different specimen sizes and polishing machine disc specifications. Stable clamping, high precision, firm installation, suitable for small, thin, irregular specimens and multi-specimen simultaneous polishing.
Metallographic Specimen Adapter Plate is a essential auxiliary fixture specially designed for metallographic sample grinding and polishing processes, solving the problem of size mismatch between small, thin or special-shaped specimens and standard polishing machine trays, as well as the need for simultaneous polishing of multiple small specimens. Made of high-strength stainless steel or hardened alloy steel with precision machining, it features flat surface, high dimensional accuracy and no deformation under working pressure, ensuring stable and level placement of specimens during polishing to avoid uneven surface, deflection or scratches caused by specimen sliding. This adapter plate can perfectly adapt to most brands of automatic and manual metallographic polishing machines, realizing quick conversion between different specimen diameters and polishing disc sizes, effectively expanding the application range of polishing equipment, improving the efficiency of batch sample preparation, and ensuring the consistency and accuracy of polishing results for each specimen. It is widely used in metallographic laboratories, material testing centers and quality inspection departments for daily sample preparation work.
2. Core Advantages
-
Precision Size Conversion: Customized hole positions and specifications to adapt small-sized, thin or irregular metallographic specimens to standard polishing machine trays, solving the difficulty of clamping and polishing small specimens stably.
-
High-Precision Machining: Integrated precision cutting and grinding process, flat and smooth surface with zero warping, strict tolerance control to ensure specimens stay horizontal during polishing, avoiding uneven finish and deflection errors.
-
Stable & Firm Clamping: Reasonable hole position design and edge limiting structure, effectively fixing specimens in place to prevent sliding, rotation or tipping during high-speed grinding and polishing, ensuring stable polishing effect.
-
Durable & Rust-Resistant Material: Made of high-strength stainless steel or hardened alloy steel, sturdy and durable, anti-corrosion, rust-resistant and wear-resistant, no deformation after long-term repeated use, suitable for long-term laboratory use.
-
Wide Compatibility: Adapt to most domestic and imported automatic/manual metallographic polishing machines, compatible with various standard polishing disc sizes, and support single or multiple specimens polishing at the same time.
-
Quick Installation & Disassembly: Simple structure with standard mounting interface, easy to install, fix and disassemble, no complicated tools needed, shortening sample preparation preparation time and improving overall work efficiency.
-
Smooth Edge Design: All edges are polished and deburred, no sharp corners, avoiding scratching polishing cloths, polishing machine parts and operators during use, ensuring safe operation.

6. Notes
-
Select the adapter plate with matching specifications according to the size of your polishing machine disc and the diameter of metallographic specimens to ensure perfect adaptation and stable installation.
-
Before installation, clean the surface of the polishing machine tray and the bottom of the adapter plate thoroughly to remove dust, debris and abrasive residues, ensuring a tight fit and no gaps between them.
-
Place the specimens fully into the adapter plate holes evenly, ensure all specimens are placed horizontally and stably without tilting, and avoid forced pressing to prevent specimen damage or plate deformation.
-
Tighten the mounting screws moderately during installation; do not over-tighten to avoid thread damage or plate warping, which will affect the flatness and polishing effect.
-
During polishing, control the applied pressure reasonably, avoid excessive pressure that may cause deformation of the adapter plate or damage to the specimens and polishing machine.
